After the success of Atomic Betty X Total Drama and the inspiration towards Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Total Drama Sujira, Montalvo decided to make a spin-off to Atomic Betty X Total Drama under the name Slash Prime, set in another universe in Japan. The series structure is written by Keiichi Hasegawa (Viper's Creed, Ultraman Heisei Series) with a story by Aaron Montalvo, character designs by Atsushi Nishigori (iDOLM@STER, Gurren Lagann) [with assistance with Ikuo Kuwana (Medaka Box)], and directed by Kunihisa Sugishima (Beyblade: Metal Saga, Nabari no Ou) and animated by Production I.G. (Attack on Titan, Ghost in the Shell, Guilty Crown, IGPX) since they helped Atomic Cartoons, Titmouse and Neptoon Studios with the original animated series as well as the Ultimate series.

The English Dub Produced by NI97/AR97 ESI, is of hybrid of both Canadian and American voice actors with some VA's from original shows returning as produced in collaboration by Ocean Productions and Bang Zoom! Entertainment and licensed by Aniplex of America with distribution by Warner Bros. International.
